AOptix Technologies Raises $15 Million In New Venture Funding

Campbell, California – May 29, 2007:   AOptix Technologies, Inc., a leading edge developer of advanced iris recognition systems and ultra-high bandwidth laser communication solutions, announced today the close of a $15 million dollar financing round led by DAG Ventures, located in Palo Alto, CA. Participation in
  the round also included leading venture capital firms Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Clearstone, 3i and Lehman Brothers. The investment will fuel the next generation of biometric iris capture and high bandwidth laser communications solutions.

According to Red Herring, this Series C funding round marks the $50 million dollar milestone for the venture backed company.
